Tony Blair embraced Ghadaffi while selling him weapons?

Now Blair's successor Cameron wants to attack him for having these weapons? Where is the logic in this scenario? Blair, with his ever present smirking grin,embraced this wild man of Libya, while selling him weapons of m destruction namely military aircraft. Such weapons the leader of this country can justifiably claim to be in the defensive interests of his own country. Yet, such images must now provoke in any Englishman's heart an unease at how fickle their elected political representatives are. So, on what basis might Cameron's spin doctors address this contradiction and justify an ault on Libya which as of today resulted in the deaths of many innocent people on the ground unable to defend themselves against bombardment from the air.
