Can't find my windows media player?

I use vista and when I bought my laptop, WMP came with it. I know I have it because sometimes my music files are defaulted to it when I open them. BUT I CAN'T FIND THE PROGRAM ANYWHERE!! I've searched all through my computer and I cannot find windows media player! I decided maybe I deleted it and tried to download it again, but I got a notice saying I already have the latest version. I'm so confused. Help anyone?!
