Is it my fault if my dad hits me?

First up; No man should ever lay his hands on a woman, let alone a child. No it's not your fault at all, even if you did say things that upset him, he still made the choice to raise his hand and smack you, that's on him. He's doing this because he doesn't know how to properly communicate, and he doesn't know how to properly express his anger/frustrations, so he resorts to violence.Your father or lackthere of, is probably having work place issues that are bugging him. I'm not big on an eye for an eye, but next time he hits you, hit him back real hard, and let him know the next time he smacks you, he'll be leaving in a strectcher.
