Domestic Violence Question?

Okay this whole situation is just confusing and I need someone help to answer my questions. So my girlfriend and are arguing on the front balcony. We said some harsh words she accidental hits me in the face trying to hit my arm. I was mad ripped her strapless bra. She goes inside where another couple is. She goes in the room tells me to leave which I should have but im not near here across the room. The one girl starts yelling at me to leave and im like no just let me talk to her. Then her boyfriend puts his hands on me and I was like get your hands off of me or we are fighting. That's when the other girl calls the cops saying I hit a girl when I didn't. Cops come interview us lock up my girlfriend because I had a tiny shiner. I told the cops this was nothing big misunderstanding I dint wanna press charges. They still took her. Now she has domestic violence 2nd degree charges against her and im the victim. I really just want this to end before the court day because that is over a month away and causing a lot of drama between the families. Im going to talk the prosecutors office and tell them I want them to drop the charges( I know they can only drop them not me) and Im going to tell them I wont testify against her, because there was no violence just an accident and a big misunderstanding. What are the chances the Prosecutor Attorney will drop the charges when I call them? We both are young 18 19. Nothing like this has never happened before we are not violent. This just got blown out of proportion. I don't want this to ruin her future. Please help
